On March 23, India registered 1,300 new coronavirus cases. It is the highest in 140 days
According to the Union Health Ministry, the active cases in the country stands at 7,605.
The daily positive rate in the country is at 1.46% . Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting to review the situation. He has directed the officials to work on tracking new variants.
People have been urged to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.
