Covid-19 Cases In India: Pandemic Still Not Over

Active Covid cases in India have climbed to 66,170. According to the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 11,692 new coronavirus infections. 28 deaths have been recorded in 24hrs. The XBB.1.16 subvariant of Omicron is driving the latest surge. According to the ministry’s website, 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
