Covid 19: Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya holds meeting with State Health Ministers

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya held a high-level review meeting on preparedness for respiratory illnesses and the COVID-19 upsurge in Delhi on December 20. The meeting has been held with state Health Ministers and Additional Chief/Principal Secretaries of Health of all States/Union Territories. Notably, one death was reported in Kerala, where JN.1 subvariant of the coronavirus was recently detected. JN.1 was first detected in September 2023 in the United States.
