Living Safely with COVID-19: Washing hands
COVID-19 hasn’t gone away. Washing our hands is an easy way to protect ourselves and other people.
We all touch a lot of different things during the day.
If you have a virus on your hands, you can transfer it to those surfaces, or to your eyes, nose or mouth.
This allows viruses to enter your body and cause infection.
Washing our hands regularly with hot, soapy water, or with hand sanitiser, removes viruses and other germs.
Meaning we’re less likely to spread viruses to others, or to become infected ourselves.
Together, we can keep Wales safe.
